Trenton – Governor-elect Phil Murphy and future New Jersey First Lady Tammy Snyder Murphy will lead a delegation of New Jersey leaders to Puerto Rico on Friday to survey first-hand the devastation and recovery efforts on the island in the wake of Hurricane Maria, which made landfall on September 20.

“With the nation’s third-largest Puerto Rican population, hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans have family and other loved ones on the island living in Maria’s aftermath,” Murphy said. “We are going to send a clear message that we have not forgotten our fellow countrymen.”
