Newark, NJ: NJSP reports 2.23.2019 – Colonel Patrick Callahan attended a dinner hosted by Reverend David Jefferson and the City of Newark to honor Reverend Jesse Jackson at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Newark.

Distinguished guests and speakers had an opportunity to show their appreciation for Reverend Jackson’s life-long work as a civil rights activist. During the ceremony, Mayor Ras Baraka also presented Reverend Jackson with the key to the city

Reverend Jackson was grateful for the strong relationships he has in New Jersey and acknowledged the dedication of the community leaders throughout the State. He also stated that we must have faith that the strong foundations we lay today will make for a better tomorrow.

Everyone in attendance was treated to a special evening.
